Ahh, drama. Now I remember what I've been missing on dA!
Not that dA is special in that area or anything. You can get all flavors of drama in everyday life: work, family, school, friends, etc. But it does really seem like there are a lot of people on here only to get attention, and only the attention they want. I like websites that encourage positive interaction like dA, but many of the users here just ruin the fun. But hey, it's not as bad as youtube... and that's always a plus.
I like to be active here apart from just uploading design and photography. I appreciate all the response I've gotten for my work, and I try to be part of the artistic community here. I'll comment or fav pictures I like, but I also like to share my voice on pictures and artwork that have deeper meaning; artwork that is charged by a strong personal belief or opinion on a subject.
You would assume that the artists of said artwork would be sharing their work because they feel passionate about their beliefs, but I've found that passion and reason don't go hand in hand here. Many comments with opposing arguments are quickly "hidden" (censored) by the artist(s). How's that for open mindedness?
That's one of the reasons I really like as an artist and (as far as I can tell) a person. He makes statements with his designs, and he's willing to stand behind those statements and tell you why he thinks what he does. He's not uploading his political artwork here to be accepted and get a million "I agree 100%!!!1" comments. I love reading his debates with others.
Anyway, I'm off to browse flickr, where the only drama is Canon vs. Nikon fanboyism!

Turn Off the Lights...
...close your eyes, and listen to "Maybe They Will Sing For Us Tomorrow" by Hammock, and tell me you don't feel something from it... it digs into your heart.

I'm Back... but not the same.
Hey fellow watchers and deviants,
It's been a long time! And with time comes change (at the risk of sounding cliché). A lot of you probably aren't the same person you were 2 or 3 years ago, and neither am I, artistically speaking.
My creative interest in digital art is still there, but not in the same mediums. I took a break from drawing, thinking I would be back after some time, but I was wrong. I really don't draw much anymore. I still love drawn and painted art, but I just don't enjoy creating it like I once did. I might experiment from time to time or even fully submerse myself in it like I did before, but for now, I'm taking a dif
Back and at 'em...
I miss you guys!
Back from anthrocon- and motivated to start drawing and arting again in general!
Anthrocon was one of the most exciting things I had a chance to go to in some time. Being surrounded by other members of the fandom and being able to draw and talk about what I love with thousands of other furs is just a great experience. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to attend, and I plan on going again next year!
So, I guess what I'm getting at is- you can expect more art from me in the coming months. I was in what some call a long-term art block- a combination of 1. lack of interest, 2. other time consuming hobbies, 3. ultimately forget
